FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the minimum age to take part in activities at your gym?
-Open play and most of our classes are appropriate for ages 7 and up, though we have also now added a 5-6 year old “Mini Warriors” class to our weekly schedule Anyone age 13+ is eligible for our adult level programs such as our flagship ObstacleFit class.
Do parents have to stay while their kids participate?
-No, and since reopening post-quarantine, all sessions are now parent drop off.
How do the Open Gym sessions work?
-Open gym is a non-instructed session, available during certain time blocks, where participants may use any of the obstacles they are interested in.
How long is a daily drop in visit?
-Depending on the day and session chosen, a session lasts either an hour or an hour and half. The cost of your daily drop in is also the same whether you take a class or do Open Play. Monthly memberships allow one session attendance per day.
Do I have to be a “member” to use the gym?
-While we do offer a number of value packages and memberships (see Pricing), they are not required to come in for our classes or Open Play. We allow daily drop ins for all of our activities, with no reservation required.
Do you offer discount rates for larger size group visits?
-Perhaps, based on the size of the group, whether it’s a school trip, camp outing, or just a large set of friends, we are usually able to offer a discount for groups of 10 or more. Please call ahead first to confirm pricing as well as to schedule your large group visit. For private gym rentals, we do require a deposit on making that appointment.
What should I wear/bring with me?
-Typical workout clothes such as shorts/sweats and a t-shirt are usually most comfortable. Sneakers (not sandals, flip flops, Crocs etc) must be worn at all times when on our equipment. Note: we are not an air conditioned facility in summer months, but do have indoor heating during colder weather. We recommend bringing a water bottle (please no soda, Gatorade or any other sticky, sugary drinks that could get spilled), otherwise we do have water bottles available for sale in our gym. There is ample cubby shelf space to store extra clothes or belongings during your visit, but done at your own risk.
Do you offer private lessons?
-Yes, by appointment, we can provide individual or small group coaching for whatever interests you or your child have- whether its ninja warrior technique work, obstacle race competition practice, physical exam (police, military, etc) preparation, or any other fitness goals we can help you achieve.
Do you host any competitions or special events?
-We sure do, for both kids and adults! Our in-house “OA Games” takes place twice a year usually in the Fall and Spring- a very unique event that blends ninja warrior course abilities with our own style of strength and “Spartan” fitness added in. We are also part of the UNAA for their annual ninja competition league! Be sure to follow our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram to catch all the latest updates on our events!
